Use two classification columns

Permanent and demi-permanent describe product categories;root touch-up describes an intended application scope. They are not three mutually exclusive positions on a single scale. A root product can be permanent. A full-head product can be demi-permanent. A useful purchase table therefore records category and scope separately rather than ranking every box from weak to strong or temporary to permanent.

Keep the selected examples narrow

The selected ColorSilk box is a permanent hair-color kit. Natural Instincts is marketed as demi-permanent. The selected Permanent Root Touch-Up is a permanent root product. These identities help distinguish the offers, but they do not establish equivalent color results or whether any one is appropriate for a particular person. The word permanent is not a measured promise that a shade never changes.

Read what the scope includes

A root-focused kit should not be treated as a cheaper full-head kit merely because it contains color cream and activator. The intended area, package quantity and supplied tools differ. Likewise,a full kit is not automatically an approved substitute for a particular root product. Retain the exact manufacturer's use scope and the enclosed directions when deciding which product record belongs in a shopping basket.

Do not convert duration claims

Marketing may describe washes, weeks or gradual fading. Those are different statements, with product-specific conditions and evidence that we have not independently tested. Dividing a box price by an advertised maximum wash count would create a misleading personal cost forecast. The tools on this site compare purchase units and chosen stock targets, not guaranteed color duration or a recommended interval between applications.

A practical shortlist example

A shopper researching a root kit sees a lower-priced full-head permanent box nearby. A price difference is real purchasing information, but it does not answer whether the two products serve the same intended task. Put both full names in separate rows, read their scopes and retain their distinct contents. If the actual need remains uncertain, ask the manufacturer or an appropriately qualified professional rather than choosing by unit cost alone.

What to save before checkout

Record category, application scope, shade, country and exact kit count beside the observed price. If a listing uses semi-permanent in a search snippet but demi-permanent on the selected current page, keep that discrepancy and verify the carton. Do not silently harmonize inconsistent terminology. This preserves a useful buying reference while leaving color choice, individual suitability and application decisions outside a shopping calculator.

Separate a temporary search result

Root searches can also return sprays, powders and other temporary products. Those listings should not be added to the permanent-root-kit row just because the word root appears prominently. Check whether the selected offer is a color system,a temporary concealer or an accessory. The comparison on this site includes only the three named kit records;it does not rank every category returned by a search. A reader seeking a different product type should begin a new record with that exact manufacturer scope. Do not copy kit-count assumptions or instructions into a temporary-product listing.
